City of Heroes...I'm stunned...

Post by Nilk »

At how friggin good this game is!
if you pre-buy, you can play righ tnow.(www.ebgames.com)
it is fully playable, polished, and unless you REALLY want to beta test(only 4 more days, until pre-orders, can buy retail version, i.e. launch day) you can play anytime, and keep your characters.
Every review I've read, talking up the hype on this game, is dead on. Characters, are completely customizable, heck even saw Conan O'Brien running around last night(I woulda used a different face, but this guy was almost dead on).
Heck I've recreated several of the characters, I was drawing in high school, with a friend, when we were trying to start our own comic
and missions are fun fun fun fun fun, meeting new people is easy, in fact, I haven't met one rude person, if you have a question, you just broadcat it, to everyone else playing. You will have an answer within minutes.
If anyone else, in playing beta already, or if anyone gets into it, post your server, and superhero, I'll track ya down to team-up.
Currently running, Silvermoon, I will probably create a NilKilla or InPsyte character sooner or later.

mmmm warm fuzzy goodness
and for anyone scared, that this would be too "kiddy like", you are pretty well wrong, this would definately be along the lines of modern day comics, with none of it toned down. heck, even learned how to turn off the language filter, and found a rather obscene word, that goes right through it.
did I say fuzzy?
also I'm learning more and more, as I play, power effects are different, by combinations of archetypes(blaster, defender, scrapper, tank, controller) and hero type(mutant, natural, magic, technology, alien).
if anyone has any concerns, or questions, please post them

I must say that I agree with Nilk I've only been playing for a few days now and I've enjoyed myself emmensly, both solo and with a group, although its more fun with a group. Anyone else playing this great game?

As for the charge it's really up to your personal preference. If you could afford to pay for PS for a year you can certainly afford this.

ATF in CoH

Post by insaneferret »

hey, insaneferret from THZ/ATF here, i'm trying to see if i can revitalize ATF a bit, make it branch into the MMO games we're playing so that the few little groups that each of us have playing can come together so we can field a much larger group in-game.

i've played with TKB's CoH group, which is only about 5-10 people, we can rarely get a good group going except in prime time due to low membership

i'm proposing this concept with CoH, , right now SOUP's Superheroes Of Unlimited Power has the largest membership, with members of SOUP, LOS, falmevault and a DAOC guild grouped up, people are always online, and the battles are fierce.

so i've tentativeley selected SOUP's SG as our rallying banner, would you XMEN guys consider coming together with the ATF guys again for a larger and more active in-game group? (though we're on victory), anyhow, consider the idea, we're discussing it on the ATF boards at the link below, bring your thoughts/opinions

<a href="http://www.alliedtribalforces.com/forum ...

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p090.ezboard.com/bxmenclan.showU ... eferret at: 7/3/04 11:12 am
