Downloaded and installed the demo. Guess I just found my reason to upgrade. <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> <br><br>*edit*<br>Played through the two demo single-player missions. Will try skirmish vs. computer later. It successfully feels like a homeworld game, the graphics and sounds are great. I'm not impressed with the originality of the plot to this point, though I recognize I've barely scratched the surface and think it'll get better.<br><br>Note to old homeworld fans: persistent fleets are in. The tedious end-of-mission resource gathering is out!<br><br>The biggest change you'll notice is the interface. It's similar, but different... spacebar still switches to map mode, H still harvests, B still builds, etc, but the interface has a much more colorful and visual side to it now for building, research, objectives, fleets, and just about everything else. it feels too much like homeworld... homeworld 2 should feel like something new... not a patch to homeworld... Mmm... I like it. A lot. I played through the Singleplayer levels, and as yet haven't played through the Multiplayer stuff yet, but it looks like it'll be fun.. Need to tweak some controls a bit, as I miss the formations on the F keys, like in Cataclysm. And Gambit, you're right about the plot feeling a little weak in the beginning, but I don't think they'd give the whole thing away like that in a demo... It does feel a bit weak right now, but I'm sure it'll get better.<br><br>And BR- I haven't played the original HW. Only Cata, and I love that game. Still play it pretty often. And yeah, it feels like the original HW, as it should. But it does have it's new parts, and so far, I think it's a good mix. I can't wait for the release..
