Mal, I tried to get on your server last night and it would not let me in, not sure why. But I WILL be there tonight. Ahh, yeah I tried to get on last night as well. Nope, you have to send in the bar code on the side of the box to them to get the certificate. i found out today that target will have the game soon, and with my 10% discount, it'll come to $45 before tax. but with as tight as my budget is, i don't think i'll be able to buy it before the LAN...what're the chances of getting a CD crack out by then? heh.... assuming we might play a game or 2 of it at the lan i'll either need a CD crack or a burnt copy or i'll only be able to play the demo version.

I installed and played 1942 this evening. My first game. Got a medal, don't remember which one or what it meant or anything, though our team lost. Conclusion - this has potential. It ain't Tribes, but it has a lot of flexibility with the planes, various land and sea vehicles, different weapon types, etc. Physics aren't bad. It's very Tribes-ish (the flexibilty) for a game with a Half-Life (CS) feel.
