SSX Tricky

Post by XMENRudeJelly »

Yep,<br><br>Been playin' an X-box game called SSX Tricky. It's like a cross between BMX and Snowboarding. When I first played it, I thought it wouldn't hold my attention long...I was wrong. I really like it. It's progressive...there's room to grow in it as you get better. The graphics and game feel are good too. The music is kind of fun. <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> <p><table><tr><td><IMG SRC="http://webpages.charter.net/1ibcnya/mon ... I played a Demo of SSX Tricky, and I liked it too. But I own a PS2, so it's no good to me. <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> <p><div align="center"><embed width="250" height="200" src="http://www.theta_mercenaries.homestead.com/files/sphat.swf"></div><p align=center><font color=#ff0000>Why Do I Always Die?!?!?!?!</font></p></p><i></i>

I have THPS2 for the PSX, and I love it. I rented it one day, and my wife started playig it, (She Hardly ever plays on ther PSX with me) And told me to take the damn game back and go buy it... <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :D --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/happy.gif ALT=":D"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> (She never tells me to go buy a game, either...) But I haven't had a chance to play THPS3 yet, although I think it'd be a lot of fun. <p><div align="center"><embed width="250" height="200" src="http://www.theta_mercenaries.homestead.com/files/sphat.swf"></div><p align=center><font color=#ff0000>Why Do I Always Die?!?!?!?!</font></p></p><i></i>

Haven't tried Tony Hawk yet, Mal. One of the things I like about SSX Tricky is the personality that's programmed into the boarders. If Tony Hawk has something similar, plus action, I think I would be happy with it too. <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> <br><br>Half the fun of Tricky is working hard to be eligible to do the Uber tricks. You have to get enough "tricky" points during a race in order to be eligible to do an Uber trick. Then you have to get "big air". Even if you have enough points, but don't get "big air" (or hang time), then you don't get to do an Uber trick. Sounds complicated, but it's easy to get used to. And when you finally pull off your first Uber trick...Oh man! It's awesome! Heh, and it's only a computer game. Go figure. <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START ;) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/wink.gif ALT=";)"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> <p><table><tr><td><IMG SRC="http://webpages.charter.net/1ibcnya/mon ... Unfortunately there really isn't any personality programmed into the skaters for the THPS series. It's a little more technical, but your right, it makes SSX Tricky a great game. Plus it keeps my 4 year old entertained <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> .<br><br>Most trick based games have a similar device to the "Tricky" points. THPS does, and it lets you do some pretty cool stuff.<br><br>Don't worry Hat THPS4 should be out this fall, but it's a bit of a departure from the last 3. They are changing the gameplay away from a timed level to more goal oriented, ala Dave Mirra BMX (a terrible game, but interesting gameplay concept.) But you'll see the same level of quality in the controls and the level design. <p><table width="40%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0"> <tr> <td>-LoS-Malthus</td> </tr> <tr> <td><a href=http://www.lordsofsteel.com>Lords of Steel</a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><img src= "http://www.lordsofsteel.com/image_uploa ... .jpg"></td> </tr><tr><td>"Everyone can be taught to sculpt: Michelangelo would have had to be taught not to. That's what got me hooked, was the Gameplay. and the music and levels were pretty cool too. <p><div align="center"><embed width="250" height="200" src="http://www.theta_mercenaries.homestead.com/files/sphat.swf"></div><p align=center><font color=#ff0000>Why Do I Always Die?!?!?!?!</font></p></p><i></i>

i play THPS2. it's purdy fun. the only thing i don't really like is how unreal some of it is...like when you get some huge hair off a pool style ramp and then the edge curves...you follow the curve in mid air...man that looks weird. but it's interesting. i understand though, twould be a pain in the but to try to actually do that stuff the way you're supposed to....get 50' of air then do a faceplant on flat cement? owie. <p></p><i></i>
