NFSU2 discussion

I don't want to hijack Gambit's thread with my questions... So, What is the X thing all about? I guess, how did they change the storyline? (Like there really needs to be one in the forst place...)

Street X takes drift and one-ups it.

I hated drift.

Still do.

But now Street X is the bane of my existance.

The story-line is just as non-existant. Definitely a lot more free-form now. You get to pick your sponsors. And each sponsor has a certain number of races you need to complete. I like the idea a lot more than just the same sequence of races in NFSU1. Now you can do the races in any order.

Pretty good.

Street X is an incarnation of drifting, eh? I never was very good at it, but good enough that I could win at it, but I always got smoked when I went Online. So, is it like racing, but still around a drift track? I'm waiting till after Christmas to see if I get it, or if I have enough cash thru gift cards to get it...

Yeah, that's basically what it is.

Racing a track with *really* tight corners and no traction. One bad move and you're out of the race.

You rarely get up to 3rd gear.. typically strut around in 1st and 2nd gear.

Must be why you feel the need for speed (in the title) - 'cause you never go very fast. :)
