Interesting telephone question

Ok, I have two phone lines. Apparently they have taken the 2 pairs in the same bundle and put one line on one pair and the other line in the other pair. I was not aware of that when I wired another outlet to my computer room. So what is REAL funny is that I a have a single outlet, then a triple outlet plugged into that. My wifes computer, my computer, and a fax machine are plugged into the triple outlet.<br><br>When she or the fax dial out they are using the 2nd phone line. When I dial out I am using the primary/1st phone line.<br><br>Any ideas why this would happen? Funky! <p></p><i></i>
