MM, that symbol is just a fan grill...you can buy it seperately if you find a different case you like. Newegg sells them for about 7 bucks, it's called the "blade" grill. I put one on my processor fan about a month ago.

All the other advice given is rock solid and for 1400 bucks you should have no problem building a kick ass machine.

Evil Overlord rule #12: One of my advisors will be an average five-year-old child.
Quote:
Ok, sorry for asking so many stupid questions. When i am looking at PC3200 ram i see this 64megs X 64. What does that mean. Because I see some that say PC 2100 128meg X 64. I mean does that make a differance?

Okay... there are two separate things there.

First the difference between PC3200 and PC2100 is the clockspeed the memory runs at. PC2100 will always be slower than PC3200.

The 64 meg x 64 and 128 meg x 64 don't really mean much to you. That's basically how many chips the total memory is spread across. For an extreme example, you could either have one chip that has 64MB on it. OR 64 chips with 1 MB on it. The 64 chip one will be several times bigger than the 1 chip one.

Although 64x64 doesn't exactly make sense. Then again, it could be a model numbering scheme that the manufacturer uses.

Go for that Case MM. I have the one Almost identical to that, but mine has a window on the side of it. You'll like that case a whole lot.

"Never, Never, Never Quit" -Winston Churchill

is that a good price? You can buy the windowed side panel later, too, if the price and availability work out better that way. I've seen places that sell just the panel.

I found the one With the window. They changed the Name to the Plusview line, and it's 92.99 Without a power supply at Newegg. So, it is a more expensive case, especially since most Antec PSU's run around $80, but I didn't need a PS. I already had an Antec.

"Never, Never, Never Quit" -Winston Churchill
