Windows XP System Restore

I have been having problems with my Windows since I did an update back in April. I thought that the update after that had corrected the problem. Coming to find out, my system now never wakes back up when it falls asleep, and I can't play any of my games cause it says DirectX 8.1 or later is not installed, which it is. SO, I thought tonight I would use the System Restore and get rid of the problems.<br><br>Here is the problem: System Restore does not work and fails to do anything besides take up time by looking like it is working and then coming back and saying that it can not restore to such a time. I have tried 7 diffirent Restore points and all of them came back saying that it could not. Well, I never could find anything to help with this but I did find out one of my 128 RAMs has gone bad. I no longer need to use System Restore since I took the RAM out.
