my only question, is why the aftermarket cooler? Intel chips generate far less heat than AMD, and something like that is going to be loud. In my experience, Intel coolers are plenty sufficient...

Ya, probably don't need the aftermarket cooler. Your CPU is only using 65 watts.

IIRC, there's not much real benefit to DDR3 vs. DDR2. You can get 4 GB of DDR2 for less $$ than 2 GB of DDR3, and I do mean good name brand stuff (Crucial, OCZ, etc., but I've been very pleased with my Patriot RAM). I'd certainly do that if you're planning on running Vista.

Dunno anything about Silverstone PSU; I'm assuming you checked them out. Modular is nice and the 750 is plenty of power if you want SLI later.

Sorry, is that a 500GB drive for less than $60? Sweet.

Woman runs that same after-market cooler. Its AWESOME, awesome quiet too. I like my machines running 40-45C during WoW or other games. My old one ran at close to 65 with the factory cooler on it.

We switched out the PSU for another one. too many reviews said that it didnt last longer than a year.
