Hey guys....If Hammer gets 2 DSL lines...

What is the best way to share them? <br><br>Dual Routers and using a crossover cable to join them?<br><br>Or is there a dual line router that would let us bind them? (never heard of one)<br><br>I don't think that either of these scenarios would allow load-balancing on the lines. We want to direct the service requests to the least used line. <br><br><br>Need some ideas. He doesn't need two lines. It'll be easier on him, and likely the phone company, too, to just give him double bandwidth on a single IP.<br><br>Having said that, his current setup of a Barricade won't work if he does have two separate IP addresses. You'd need some sort of intelligent router in there, and that could run the costs up a little. Nice thing about having it the way Gambit described is the PC doesn't have to be anything special. All it needs is an OS and the NICs. 2 IPs makes things pretty complicated, so if He could get 2x the bandwidth on the 1 line, it'd be better for everyone involved. UNLESS, You setup a second router, and just put 2 of the PCs into that, and the other 2 Into the Barricade. Well, true, but the load balancing would work better running it through the PC. Well, on my Cable Service, I've hosted a 10 Man BF1942 Server with 4 clients here, and 5 guys connected externally through it, for a small Internet game, with no lag. you have to pick a nit, before is turns brown and sprouts the hair.
