Win 2000 problem on my laptop

Post by XMEN Viper DTM »

I keep on getting the blue screen of death. It seems to be an office problem (it only crashes when I open an office program). Here's the message:

*** STOP: 0x00000050 (0xE24FE000, 0x00000000, 0xF9F70367, 0x00000001)
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

*** Address F9F70367 base at F9F61000, DateStamp 0000000 - 31x5C02P.dll

Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete. Contact your system administrator or
technical support group.

I'm thinking that it's a bad dll. Any suggestions? I searched the MS knowledge base, but I couldn't find the exact error.

Any ideas?

Oh...I forgot to mention that the crash seems to be random. Most of the time I can get into office programs, but some times it'll just crash.

The weird part though is that it worked last year. I had to take my laptop into school in August so they can format my drives (ug). Well, it's the same software from last year: the same operating system (Windows 2000) and the same office version (XP).

If it's a DLL problem, then the guys in the "helpless center" have bad Office CDs. I say this because every sophomore student in the school has this problem and the guys in the "helpless center" can't seem to find the problem.

I'm not sure if I have it, but I'll have to check to see if I have any office XP CDs.

Hmmm...Until then, I'll keep searching for a fix to the problem and maybe a DLL that I can download to see if it's the same as the one on my laptop.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub141.ezboard.com/uxmenviperdtm ... ge=EN>XMEN Viper DTM at: 9/18/02 2:20:55 pm
