DVD and DVD burner question

I'm in the market for a DVD burner. I've decided to go with one that supports the DVD+R/DVD+RW format. This drive will replace my current DVD-ROM drive. ALL of the DVD burning drives that I have looked at (regardless of burning format) will only read DVD's at 8x.
