700br smc barricade internet access problem

Post by matr8x »

Hey. I was hoping one of you can help me with a small problem that's been giving me a major headache. I have a smc barricade and for some reason only one of my computers can access the internet. Everything seems to be working and I can ping the barricade and the ip of the internet connection but I can't seem to access the internet. Only one computer can access the internet but the settings are identical with the other 3 computers so i'm completely stumped.

Check your DMZ and port forwarding settings on the Barricade. Sounds like you've got all incoming packets sent to the one machine.

(This is of course assuming you have the thing PHYSICALLY configured correctly - WAN port going to cable/dsl modem and all computers plugged into the LAN ports. Sorry, had to check.)
XMEN member
Card-carrying DTM
OKL Fish-napper

Though a program be but three lines long,
someday it will have to be maintained.
- The Tao of Programming
Life is complex; it consists of real and imaginary parts.
