Bought a Magellan T300 the other day..

Got a smokin deal on it because the store is closing. brand new, been using it for a week, and now I'm wishing I had the step above because I need more storage for maps! basemap is crap, but satellite acquisition is quick, and get great reception in cover. Given some good freeware tools you can create very nice accurate custom maps.
Hit the 'hood today with the daughter for 2 hours, didn't find any caches, but had a good walk, and we had fun. There's another story about my adventures with Magellan this week, and I almost feel a little bad, but not really. Let's just say it's nice to know you've got a backup unit on the shelf just in case anything breaks.
