Big Ten Swimming & Diving Championships

Post by BlackRider »

I covered this the other week, thought I'd post a few. 22 hours and 1300 shots... w/ horrible horrible results. Keeper rate less than 5%!!! More details in my TPF post.

BR - The first image rocks! I'd say you nailed that one.

In checking your EXIF data it seems that your ISO and shutter were all over the place. For example, the first shot is ISO800, 1/500. The second one was ISO200, 1/200, which explains why this image is soft. You're shooting a 40D - why not keep the ISO up around 800 to 1000 so that you can keep your shutter fast enough so that everything is sharp?

First attempt at PP:

I finally decided it's time to learn PP... so I started playing with PS: Elements (came w/ my film scanner)... I'm mostly clueless, so I only adjusted levels and saturation.

Good place to start! Pretty easy to play around with noise reduction, too.

Yeah, I didn't list noise reduction... but I've been doing that too. :D
