CPU Usage

Post by XMEN Wildchild »

Ok I just put new ram into my computer about a week or so ago and I noticed in the past few days that my computer has been running real slow. I load up the computer today and it took so long to boot I thought it shut down again. When I checked the TM it said my CPU Usage was about 61%. Now wth did that? I don't recall having anything running in the background. How do I fix/ change this? It is causing me to have serious issues when I cast.

Make sure your mobo Bios is set properly for the new ram. Also make sure you put the largest stick in slot 1, closest to the CPU.
<img src="http://www.camerasupport.com/oV/mavsigr ...

hmmmmm ok I didn't think about the bigger stick going closer to the cpu. I will fix that and get back to you on it and tell you how it worked. Thanks for the help.

and make sure to check for spyware, adware, and viruses. Those processes can run in the background and chew up cycles.
