Well the way you are using them you will need to make the links a href="/test/news" and so on. The pages are in their same directorys no matter what page you are on you are just using the wrong format in your relative links. You are in test directory so you need to make your menu according to that. Once you move your site to the main dir you will have to adjust your links. That's the problem then. My old site actually did use a directory structure, but the menu was in a frame, so the links worked relative to the location of the menu, not the page being viewed in the main frame. Now, the menu is being displayed on the viewed page and the links are working from there. The finished site will have 150 pages, so putting them all in one directory and keeping track of things would be difficult. Sounds like this may not be the way to go. The only solution I see is making all links "http"rather than relative but I'd rather not do that. You don't need to make them all http, no matter where the menu is, the pages you are trying to get to are always in the same place. The links are just being formated in the wrong way :p Also this has nothing to do with php and all to do with not using frames and needed a different link sturcture for that.
