Well, turns out we do need to do chemo again. Drat.

It's really a matter of 'Nuke it from orbit, it's the only way to be sure'. The tumor got fully typed finally, and it's not one that responds to hormone therapy, soooo....

Yeah. Bleah. At least we know what to expect this time. We've also been told that the routine and chemicals will be different, with the objective of being less stressful to the body due to smaller doses.

On the plus side, I think I aced my Server 2K3 final today.

Well, this round of chemo is turning out to be interesting, in many ways.

The idea of this particular course is 'less dosage, more often', so instead of being piledrivered with the contents of a syringe nearly the size of my forearm every two weeks, Mrs. Bug gets a much more reasonable dosage every week. Three weeks on, one off, and repeat four times.

...they're actually injecting platinum into her this go-around. Mind-boggling, but it's apparently part of the chemo drug. Here's to hoping we don't set off metal detectors!

So far, the 'less for more' approach seems to be working. The low spot seemed to be the day before yesterday (Monday, injection was on Friday), but even that low was pretty tame compared to last time. If it keeps up like this things will be far more pleasant.

So really, all is going pretty well. :)

So she's what, worth her wait in platinum? ;)

Good to hear the good news!
