Gambit goes flat

Well, flat-screen, anyway. Got one of these in today:

The Dell 2209WA is an e-IPS LCD monitor. The typical TN LCD monitor is good for gaming, but I also do my photography processing and a TN panel has issues with color accuracy. VA panels, on the other hand, typically have great colors, but poor response times (bad for gaming). An IPS has both. It's been running about 10 minutes now and seems to be great. Blacks are better than I was getting out of my Trinitron CRT after adjusting per various calibration advice sites.

It's not perfect, but it's a 22-inch IPS panel for $300 or less. Lots of praise for it out there. Like this: http://www.lcdreviewz.com/review_Dell_2209WA

Anyway, I expect to enjoy this a lot and hopefully it won't be as hard on my eyes, either.

That works! (It's also an IPS panel.)

I think response time on mine is slightly faster, but I'm not sure and it's a trivial difference anyway.

Very nice.. I've been running my 19' LG for a while and while it's not all fancy cool, it's MUCH better than the old 19' CRT I bought from Porsche how many years ago? Actually, my ex still uses that monitor...

Very nice. I'm soon going to be in the market for a couple of new LCD's myself, preferably in the 22-24 inch range.
