I was getting paid because I was there for a mission to patrol the sector. I didn't get the money until the mission ended. The Bounty system is the same as the prior X games, where you have a police license and kill a pirate or xenon in that races sectors and get paid. Just now the random missions a...

Day 1: Start: Terran Defender Starting Ship: Terran M4 Sabre First off, the Terran sectors are HUGE!!!! Even in a ship that goes 400m/s it still takes a while to get across. Also to go along with the size of the sectors, the stations. If you see a station and it looks like its close, your still 60 k...

I went and bought Terran Conflict today and got a couple of hours in on it. Started off as a Terran Solder. Their weapons pack a good punch but they are so slow. The Sol Sectors are so large that even at high speeds you feel like a snail. Beyond that all the new ships and weapons have me on my toes ...

I left out the info about money intentionally to hear more about other aspects that I may have not thought of. As for money, I'm told between hazard pay and various bonuses I can expect to earn 1.25 to 1.5 times what I would normally earn in a 6 month period. If I would do a full year TDY then it wo...

I'm considering doing a voluntary 6 month deployment to Afghanistan. Idea behind it is to get more experience that would help me along my career and get to see the world, as well as make enough money to pay off my College loans. I will be on a TDY to the District over there in developing the infrast...

I guess after seeing pictures and videos of shock waves destroying things hundreds of feet away, something knocking things over in such a short range doesn't impress me as much. I will admit that the relatively small cone of fire is impressive. Beyond that its only showing the same ability a convent...

After watching the video twice, I have to say I'm disappointed. First, all of the structures had open backs meaning they were already structurally weak. Second, the house of sticks didn't even have proper framing which is evident when the walls literally fold when knocked over. Third, he shot the ab...

Lets just say that my idea of life in an office and how they operate and what I'm actually living don't mesh. Everything is much more laid back on the surface but very serious if you look past the jokes and pranks. The work is constantly changing. And some how most of the people there could quote yo...

I'm still alive. Had a week with no internet as my modem got shocked by a surge in the phone line. Then another week because I found out my router took a hit in the port for the modem. Now my network is back up and running with a new router and modem. Still working and going to sites for inspections...

I've used Wolfram a few times during college trying to find information on things so I could find more comprehensive references. Kind of forgotten about it since graduating.

Visited the Winfield Dam and Locks last week. I never realized how much garbage floated down the rivers and this one was only a feeder to the Ohio River. Never knew an old tube TV could float. But there was the evidence floating into the Lock there. Mixed in with the wood debris was countless soda b...

I have two different OS"s and the one I use on this computer isn't a student copy. What I have on the other desktop is a student copy. I do use the student copy of office on both machines. As for why I'm putting the money into the couch is because its already sitting in the clearance bin and is...

I have a bed for myself. The sleeper sofa is for my guests that visit me. Its a long term investment. Also this will be the only month where I have so much money at my disposal as starting next month I start paying off my college loans. I'm posting from the renewed system right now. Got all the basi...

I have finished burning things to disk. Currently working on reformatting the hard drive. I have also begun looking into building a replacement to my old computer with the purpose of being the center of entertainment. At least now I have a backup of my data in case of a system crash in the future. G...
