Gambino - thanks for the reply! Amber #1 - I still stink at posing, but I'm working on it. The lighting was a bear because we were shooting at 2:30 in the afternoon. That was the only time that the junkyard could give us to shoot. We were experimenting with using a handheld softbox off to camera lef...

Hanging around in the junkyard
I've been wanting to do a junkyard shoot for quite some time. Got a couple of models together and headed out this afternoon. The lighting was horrible (direct, mid-day sunlight - didn't have a choice), but we managed. Anyway, the first two are of Amber, and the last one is my friend Natalie. http://...

Another shot of Amber
Here's another shot of Amber from our session last week. I've had this vision in my mind for a very long time and finally got a shot that would allow me to try and bring it to fruition.

Thanks, guys! To be honest, it's hard to take a bad picture of her. The fact that she's VERY at home in front of a lens made the shoot pretty simple. The trick is getting a waitress that's willing to model for you. A few of these will make it onto the walls at the Hooters that she works at, and hope...

Amber in studio
Spent some time this past weekend with Amber. She's a waitress from Hooter's and is looking to submit some images to be considered for the annual Hooter's calendar. The images themselves won't make it into the calendar; they're simply to see if they'll want to do a formal shoot with her. Of course, ...

To be honest, my favorite one is the shot with the Rembrandt lighting (2nd one from the bottom). Hard to believe that Natalie is 36 years old. As for the hat concept, I tried to shoot it in such a way as to leave the eyes in the shadow, hence it would not matter if her eyes were open or closed. I th...

Yup.... Putz and I survived. Lots of tears being shed, however. Not a pretty sight. Actually, of the 260 that Ice mentioned only 160 were on the corporate campus where we work. The other 100 were spread out amongst our other domestic facilities. Kind of surprising that of the 160 on campus, IT only ...

What I've been up to....
It's been a while since I've thrown anything new out here. I've found a couple of studios that I can rent relatively inexpensively. I've been spending some time shooting my "house model" (Natalie) and learning different lighting setups, in addition to directing her poses. Thoughts? http://...
