What shape and color are these iMacs? If it's one of the original 'Bondi Blue' (they're GREEEEEEN, dammit!) one-piece iMacs... you can run OSX on them, but it'll be painfully slow. I had one of those set-ups at DxR. Bleh.
As for OS9, you can find copies on Amazon, used.

I think I can answer part of the media coverage, Hat. This is a feeding frenzy, a political one. Every Thom-Dakk and Ha-Ray with a political axe to grind is at this very moment digging through Congressional records, looking to find out who voted for or against transportation bills and why. Governor ...

Now I'm all curious. :) I'm going to have to go digging around in various physics/chemistry texts. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this laser is employed against missiles during the launch//boost phase, when they're still headed up under rocket power. Yet, it's fired once the missile has reached suffic...

Not really a necro-post here, but rather an update. SOTS has had its first expansion come out. Lots and lots of changes. I'll outline changes and overall game info, now that I own a copy. --- The Races : There's five races now. Humans still have their node drives. Way Fast, but confined to specific ...

Well, this round of chemo is turning out to be interesting, in many ways. The idea of this particular course is 'less dosage, more often', so instead of being piledrivered with the contents of a syringe nearly the size of my forearm every two weeks, Mrs. Bug gets a much more reasonable dosage every ...

Passports: A Rant
"First, let us kill all the lawyers." --William Shakespeare OK, the situation is pretty simple. I have no passport. Mrs. Bug has a passport, but it's expiring soon and we both wish to hit Mexico sometime next winter. Since we don't plan on taking a ship or driving to our destination, we ha...

Sleep. Sleep now. Get as much sleep as you possibly can, because I have it on good authority that for the first few years following the birth of Asha 2.0, you and your SO will never get proper rest. What authority, you ask? My mother. :) Called her today, had a good chat. Congrats, Asha! You will ha...

It's been a while since I've looked into mineral-oil cooling, and I disremember if it conducts. If it does not, I can however name one very good reason to leave the PSU out of the bath; heat. Those capacitors and transformers can get pretty hot. You guys should google around for a substance call Flu...

Eh, I felt it was too... busy . They could have dropped either Sandman or Venom and have been fine. Three baddies at once, all with stories, just resulted in a lot of jumping back and forth that I didn't like. I felt the 'descent' that Peter went through was too quickly stuffed into the flim, and as...

Well, turns out we do need to do chemo again. Drat. It's really a matter of 'Nuke it from orbit, it's the only way to be sure'. The tumor got fully typed finally, and it's not one that responds to hormone therapy, soooo.... Yeah. Bleah. At least we know what to expect this time. We've also been told...

I don't know if other hospitals do this, but the Mayo complex has this unique (to me) set-up where you call in the evening before to an automated service that tells you when to report for surgery the next morning. Last time, we were to come in at 7:30. This time? 5:45 AM. And we found at at 8:30 PM....
