I played around on 3 CTF maps last night. Seems like you catch speed bursts by bunny hopping across the landscape. Definitely not like T2 where you needed a slope (which would actually make sense versus bunny hopping). I'm running unscripted and unpatched right now though, so maybe with some tweaks ...
