Memory

Well, this is it--the game-changer.

Memory.

This is why it took me ages to get to this point--I wasn't sure I wanted to do this. But after much consideration...it'll make a better story this way.

Was very good to see you Ice. :) I got on Saturday evening and joined up with the mixer on the Cygnus server. Was a LOT of fun. Got a couple of Airmail + Artillery Shots in, too, which surprised the heck out of me.

....thought you were actually talking about turtle meat here. Drat.

Well, try it sometime. It's a bit gamey, but tasty.

PS: slip-jaw pliers and a hatchet are recommended to behead the turtle. Chisel and/or hacksaw to get the shell open.

Yeah, I updated. I've been remiss.

Bit of a gap, but then again, life has been arbitrarily exciting since I last wrote. Read, enjoy.

Entirely feasible to use the 200 series as a handheld--it's only got a 3.5" screen.

Employed, by the gods!

Yep, you read right. After five years of school, house-husbandry, and freelancing, I am gainfully employed at a local company here in Rochester, MN. Here's the website if you'd like to take a look: RightWay GPS The short-form is that we sell cheap er GPS devices that still have loads and loads of fe...

"The Wal-Mart Method"? I hate to be an argumentative cuss, but if we stopped any and all imports for two years, Wal-Mart would be dead . Unless, of course, they put their mastery of logistics to the use of procuring items from within the US. Prices would go up, without a doubt. How much ex...

The USS New Orleans is actually a San Antonio-class ship. A troop transport with all kinds of extra goodies. It really does seem bigger on the inside than the outside. What I found amazing was that there are apparently individual bunks for every crewman, landing force and actual sailors included. Gr...

Well, it wasn't so much that the cable was bent into a curve beyond which it could transmit light--it could. It was that the cable was bent right up to that limit and given no slack to account for moving, expansion//contraction of the hull and bulkheads, and so on. However, our tourguide (a petty of...

The ship was the USS New Orleans, one of the Navy's new 'multi-role' ships, although it is mainly meant to carry several hundred Marines along with their beach landing gear, tanks, hovercraft, a couple of Ospreys, and two or three other choppers. We got to go inside and take a tour. It was the oddes...

Hey all. Mrs. Bug and I have been traveling a bit over the last couple-three years, and I finally got the wherewithal to actually make and use a Flickr account. Here's the link to my Flickr account. I'm much happier with the images from S. Illinois than I am the ones from New Orleans, mostly because...
