I've seen you play before. You're a inventory mining, gen squatting, TK'er. I cannot *SPONSOR* you at this time. TK Gambino a few more times and we'll talk.

Asha - completely hand-held. No tripod, which is why I'm so happy with it. Look up the size and weight of a Nikon 200-400 f/4 and you'll see that it's a bit of a beast.

Super Moon

Pretty happy with myself with this shot of the Super Moon from this past weekend. Taken with my Nikon D3, 200-400mm f/4 with a 1.4x TC - hand held.

First of all, understand that the DFW Metroplex is huge. It would be easier to make recommendations on locations to look for a house if I had a better idea of exactly where your office is located. For example, I live in Mansfield. Great area, fantastic schools, etc. If your office is in Plano, Mansf...

Drive cloning question

Thinking of cloning my primary boot drive to an SSD. Problem - primary drive is 2Tb, SSD will probably be about 250Gb. Can anyone recommend a good utility that will allow me to clone from a larger drive to a smaller one?

I'd recommend staying with something in the Nikon or Canon line. It's just a tad over your budget, but Costco has a Nikon D3100 kit for $899, and a Canon Rebel T3i kit for $879. Going solely by what you told us your wife is interested in, either of these combos will fit the bill. The only challenge ...

I was only changing exposure time. My camera has a bracket setting that allows me to change the number of shots in the bracket. I think that there's something like a 1 stop difference between each shot.

What's so special about the WD Red drives? Looks like they carry the same 3 year warranty as the Blue drives. At least the Black Caviar drives carry 5 years.

Need HDD advice

Just bought a new computer and I'll be adding additional drives. I need a recommendation on hard drives. I eventually plan on adding a SSD boot drive, but for now I just need more storage. Probably going to start with just 1 additional HDD for now. I refuse to buy Western Digital. I've seen WAY too ...

Jester - Thanks for the compliment! I'm not much into selling my prints nowadays, but I'll keep that in mind should I change my mind. Hat - This is a 7-shot bracket that I processed in Photomatix (awesome piece of software for creating HDR images). I primarily went the HDR route so that I could make...

Barn in B&W

Went driving around the other day with my camera in hand to see if anything worth shooting would catch my eye. I passed by this old barn (actually, I've driven by it a bunch of times over the years) and thought it would be the perfect opportunity to do a shoot due to the overcast conditions. I talke...

She's a purdy cat.

Actually, Asha, there are such things as White Tigers. This isn't one of them, however. I've had a few people think that I needed to colorize the eyes. I chose not to, though, because I think it would ruin the image.

Thanks for the feedback, guys.
